This Privacy Policy explains how Vola ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use the Vola Board mobile application and associated cloud synchronization services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register via email or Google Sign-In, we store your email address, display name / username, and an encrypted user ID managed by Supabase.
Climbing Activity & Routes: Routes you create (hold coordinates, LED colors, wall angle, difficulty grade, route name), logged ascents (tick list, attempt counts, dates, ratings), and community route comments.
Bluetooth Device Interaction: The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to detect and connect to your Vola Board LED hardware controller to display hold patterns.
Local Cache: Downloaded wall layout configurations and route data are stored locally in an offline SQLite cache on your device.

What we do NOT collect: We do not track or store your physical GPS location, we do not access or upload your photo gallery/camera, we do not display advertisements, and we do not collect financial details.

2. Device Permissions

Bluetooth / Nearby Devices	`BLUETOOTH_SCAN`, `BLUETOOTH_CONNECT`	Required on Android 12+ to discover and connect to your ESP32 LED board.
Location (Legacy BLE)	`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`, `ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION`	Required strictly by Android 11 and older to perform BLE scanning. Never used for location tracking.
Internet Access	`INTERNET`	Connects to our backend database (Supabase) for authentication and route synchronization.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers for backend infrastructure:

Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, and backend synchronization (Privacy Policy).
Google & Apple Sign-In: Secure authentication provider (Privacy Policy).

4. Data Retention & Security

All network transmissions are secured via TLS 1.2/1.3 (HTTPS). Data is retained as long as your account remains active.

5. Account & Data Deletion

How to Delete Your Account & All Associated Data

Method 1 (Instant In-App Deletion): Open Vola Board > Settings (gear icon) > Account > tap Delete Account.

Method 2 (External Request): If you have uninstalled the app, email beanboardclimbing@gmail.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from your registered email address. We will permanently delete your account and all associated personal data within 7 business days.

6. Children's Privacy

Vola Board is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
